Happy New Year's Eve!

I woke up this morning and discovered the self-timer feature on my camera... fun! I've had this thing for two years and it still never fails to amaze me with all its cool features.

Happy New Year's Eve! New Year's has always been one of my favorite holidays. It's tradition that my parents and I plan a party where everyone comes together just to enjoy each other's company, think back on the year that's passed, and dream for the future. It's always a good time, and usually the majority of my friends can make it or stop in to say hello.

I'm planning an outfit and face post once I actually prep myself for the party but I don't want to post a look yet, because I'm waiting for a package from Sephora to come in (and it's already a day late! D'oh!). I guess I can show you the products I'm planing to use, though.. ;)

Yay, teasers!!

I watch this video every New Year's Eve.. it makes my day every. time. I am completely in love with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, he is a perfect human being. And it doesn't help that I have a huge girl crush on Zooey, too!! *__*

I hope you all have a great New Year's, wherever you are and whether or not you get your midnight kiss! (I'm planning to find my kitty and give him a smooch.. haha)

See you on the other side!

Love,
Izzy

Haulin' at Lush: The Bargain Edition

It's very fitting that the first real post I'm going to publish is a haul, especially because we're still so close to Christmas!

I was in NYC on the 26th with a good friend of mine and I had heard about the BOGO going on at Lush. We braved the terrible weather and hurried down to the store on Herald Square, and I was not disappointed with what I found! Everything I bought was included in their sale. :)

The Goodies!

What made the day even more exciting was the reply from Lush that was waiting for me when i got home and checked my Twitter :D

A pleasant surprise!

All in all, I got:
  • Twilight shower gel, 250 mL
  • Ponche shower gel, 250 mL
  • Bubblebeard bubble bar
  • Magic Wand bubble bar
  • Golden Wonder bath bomb x2 (I used one already... it was heavenly!)
  • Butterball bath bomb x2
  • Cinders bath bomb x2
  • Crackersnap bath bomb
  • Dirty solid gorilla perfume

All of the bath bombs (minus Crackersnap) were in two gift sets that I bought because they were cheaper in the gift packaging than buying individually! They were in the Mr. Frosty Gift.

The workers at Lush were telling me I HAD to get Crackersnap because it was available individually at their store only. Even though it was $10 it'll definitely be worth it because I'm sure it can last me about four baths.

So excited to put these bath bombs to use!

I'm pumped about the bubble bars, too. Using them is going to make me feel like a kid again. They remind me of magic wands! :D

I'm especially excited about the perfume! The "Dirty" scent ironically smells so fresh :)

I'm still very new to Lush, so buying new products with such a great deal going on definitely gave me the chance to try out some of their stuff (even though the majority of it is from their limited edition holiday line- who cares, it was buy one get one FREE!!) I spent about $65 in all, which is a STEAL for all the stuff I got.

Do you want an individual review of any of these products specifically? Drop me a comment and I'll have no problem about writing about it! Did you pick up anything during Lush's BOGO madness?

Introduction

Hello, Blogspot!

I'm Izzy and this is going to be my new corner of the internet for all things beauty related/ random crap I find awesome.

Lately I've been really interested in makeup and my collection of products and knowledge about all of this crazy stuff has been increasing at a steady rate. I have a great camera and a decent amount of makeup now so I figured that starting a blog would be the best way to document my progress while letting my creativity and writing develop!

Makeup for me isn't about covering my flaws, it's about being creative with the skin as a canvas and accentuating natural beauty, which is something that we all have. :)

I hope you stick around for this journey of mine and read the rambling/ product reviews/ tutorials that are sure to come with this blog, and I hope that I'll be able to help you out or brighten your day with the stuff that i love!

Love,
Izzy
